- BOB /bɒb/ (UK) — /bɑːb/ (US) · noun, verb
- A short, quick up-and-down or back-and-forth movement; also a hairstyle in which the hair is cut to hang evenly around the head at about jaw length, and the name of a small rounded weight (a bob) used on fishing lines, plumb lines, and pendulums. Related: dip, duck, nod, bounce.
- BOH /bɔː/ · interjection
- An exclamation expressing bewilderment, indifference, or dismissive uncertainty — roughly 'who knows?' or 'I haven't the faintest idea.' It is characteristically accompanied by a shrug. Related: dunno, who knows, beats me, your guess is as good as mine.
