- SINGLES /ˈsɪŋɡlz/ · noun
- A single person, especially one who is not married. A single item or thing. Related: single, solitary, lonely, unmarried.
- DOUBLES /ˈdʌbəlz/ · noun
- Doubles is the plural of the noun "double" and, most commonly, a game format in sports such as tennis or badminton in which two players compete on each side. It also refers in music to vinyl records released as two discs, and in general use to two of a kind or something twice as large. Related: twofold, pair, duplicate, twin.
- SEMIFINAL /sɛmɪˈfaɪnəl/ · noun
- The final round of competition before the final, typically involving two teams or individuals. Related: final, intermediate, preliminary, quarterfinal.
- FINALS /ˈfaɪnəlz/ · noun
