Congas word list, defined
- CONGA /ˈkɒŋɡə/ (British & US also /ˈkɑːŋɡə/) · noun and verb
- A lively Cuban ballroom dance in which dancers move in a single-file line, performing a three-step pattern punctuated by kicks, typically led by a leader who snakes the line around the floor; also the drum used to accompany it. As a verb, to dance this dance, especially by forming such a moving line. Related: rumba, samba, mambo.
- HEAD /hɛd/ · noun, verb
- The upper part of the human body, containing the brain, eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. To be in charge or control of something. Related: brain, mind, skull, chief.
- SHELL /ʃel/ · noun, verb
- The outer covering of a tree seed, typically hard and woody. To remove the outer covering of something, especially a nut or a seed. Related: husk, peel, covering, exoskeleton.
