- NUTMEG /ˈnʌtmɛɡ/ · noun
- A spice made from the seed of the nutmeg tree, used as a flavoring in cooking, and also used in traditional medicine. It is also used as a metaphor for something that is valuable or desirable. Related: mace, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom.
- COCOA /ˈkoʊ.koʊ/ · noun
- A brown powder made from roasted cacao beans, used to make chocolate and to flavor drinks and desserts; also a hot drink made by mixing this powder with milk or water. Related: chocolate powder, drinking chocolate.
- MACE /mās/ · noun
- A club-like weapon with a heavy head, typically made of metal or wood, used for bludgeoning. A spice or condiment made from the dried and ground fruit of a plant of the genus Myristica. Related: club, bludgeon, sceptre, cudgel.
